FOCSS recently staged their biggest fundraising event of the year with their 17th Pet Show and Summer Fair. They decided to invite the Everyclick Mouse who had been such a great success the previous year. Here are their comments on the day:
“The day dawned and as one child put it we were blessed again with perfect “Pet Show” weather – the sun shone and the rain stayed away.
As a bevy of helpers descended upon the field there was once again much merriment and ribbing as they battled with the erection of assorted gazebos and marquees, transported tables, chairs and generators to the field a logistical challenge much aided by those wonderful hot bacon rolls that were very welcomed.
The show kicked off with the arrival of the big blue mouse to the strains of ‘Fanfare for the Common Man’, an uplifting and fitting entrance as he circuited the field with his posse of followers.
FOCCS hope they got the message across to all those attending so they can continue to contribute even after the event! This year’s early indications suggest they have made about £4,500 from the event and the Everyclick Mouse once again helped make the day a great success.
