Give with Bing

Microsoft has just launched the “Give with Bing” programme, where 5p goes to Sport Relief for every ten searches completed by users on Bing.com.

Give with Bing

The counting for this program is being delivered by the Everyclick technology platform. Marie Thirlwall, Product Marketing Manager at Bing.com says:

Bing.com is extremely proud to be partnering with Sport Relief this February. We were eager to team up with such a great charity by providing a simple way in which anyone could raise money. Through simply logging on to Bing.com and searching the internet, people can raise money in an easy, convenient way for free – for every 10 searches carried out on the site we will be donating 5p to Sport Relief.

“With traffic to Bing.com increasing every day the potential for Sport Relief donations is huge. Whether at home, work or on the move, we really want to encourage as many people as possible to get online and raise money whilst carrying out their daily searches.”

The counting mechanic is powered by Everyclick technology. The Everyclick platform can be used by any company to power loyalty programs from their own website.

It’s a bit disappointing that “Give with Bing” is restricted to IE on Windows… not all of us can, or want to, use IE!
