Tesco choose Everyclick for online fundraising

Tesco Personal Finance have put an Everyclick search box on their intranet to help their employees support their Charity of the Year 2009 – Muscular Dystrophy.

Corporate social responsibility – fundraising with Everyclick


Everyclick can be a useful part of your company’s corporate social responsibility programme as it allows employees to raise money for free, for doing something they usually would as part of a normal working day.

Case study – Cancer Research UK and Premier Foods


Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to cancer research. They have discovered new ways of beating cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world. One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives. Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, funded almost entirely by the general public, will ensure that millions more people survive.

Premier Foods is the UK’s largest food producer owning brands such as Branston, Mr Kipling, Hovis and Sharwood’s. Premier Foods has 18,000 staff around the UK and Ireland, of whom 7,500 have access to the internet.

Campaign details

Cancer Research UK is Premier Foods’ charity of the year and in January 2009 they selected Everyclick to power their Intranet based web search function, allowing staff to raise money for CRUK as they searched the web.

Premier Foods’ staff can access the web via their internal Intranet, which features a direct web search facility.

Previously the web search results had been powered by Google, however Everyclick offered an alternative which would generate funds for their charity, at no cost.

The initiative launched on 02.02.09 with a feature on the intranet. Staff have been updated on progress with a further news bulletin on the Intranet.

Campaign results

Within a week of launch Premier Foods had become Everyclick’s number one corporate supporter, generating thousands of searches. They have continued this level of performance during the first month, making them an excellent example of a charity/corporate partnership using Everyclick.

Everyclick Search will continue to be supported with internal communications and other Everyclick products such as Shopping and Sponsorship will also be introduced to staff as additional ways of supporting CRUK.

Introducing Everyclick will help us on our way to reach this target and means that everyone who makes searches on the internet can make a contribution.”
